Students' Politics in India has a glorious history to its credit. It has been at the forefront of many important sociopolitical movements. However, the past few decades students' politics has either been stifled by Administrative bullying or has been plagued by politics of money and muscle power.
During the past one year students have been up in arms to reclaim their Democratic spaces and voice their concerns on issues that matter. From Jadavpur to JNU, from AMU to BHU, students have led struggles for gender Justice, value based politics, against privatisation or curtailment of campus Democracy.
Aligarh Activists' Society seeks to bring these emerging voices and deliberate upon the future roadmap. Join us and be a part of this exercise.
We are a students' group formed to promote Intellectual discourses and student activism in Aligarh Muslim University.
